Ingrid Lee, Author
Ingrid Lee, author of Dog Lost and Dustbin Cat, was born in 1948 and lives in a ramshackle bungalow in Toronto, Canada. In addition to her writing, Ingrid works as a teacher. She has two grown up children, Katie and Mackenzie.
Cash, the abandoned puppy in Dog Lost, is based on Ingrid’s real-life puppy of the same name. Cash was an orphaned puppy, rescued by Ingrid’s now grown up son, Mackenzie. When the time came to take him back to the animal shelter, Ingrid found she couldn’t let him go.
Ingrid has since taken in a scruffy stray Chihuahua to keep herself and Cash company.
